Carrie Bickmore and Fifi Box from Project checking out of a hotel in Sydney after a night out with wild girls

They had a wild girls night on a Thursday night in Sydney.

And The Project host Carrie Bickmore, 41, and radio star Fifi Box, 45, were seen checking out of the swanky Kimpton Margot hotel the next morning.

The two women laughed together as they rolled their suitcases into the driven car.

Carrie and Fifi were dressed as typical Melbourne, both wearing black.

Carrie looked absolutely chic in a knitted turtleneck sweater with black skinny jeans and black combat boots worn over it.

Meanwhile, a drunken Fifi was wearing a more casual flying outfit, wearing a loose lilac top over a padded jacket.

The night before, the couple looked ready to break away with Carrie looking as youthful as ever and Fifi wearing an emerald busty gown.

The Gold Logie winner shared the photo on Instagram with several other people throughout the night, before revealing the next morning Fifi was drunk.

It comes after Carrie recently returned to The Project after a ‘family adventure’ in the UK, which some viewers suspected had been cut short.

Many thought he would be away for six months or more, and some even suspected he was hoping to land a job in the UK, so they were confused when he returned to his role on the panel without any fanfare on July 11.

Newsreader fans were unaware of his journey, as he never indicated a specific return date.

Carrie, 41, looked as young as ever and Fifi, 45, wore an emerald busty dress.

Instead, Bickmore simply said he was ‘going to take a few months off’ from April with partner Chris Walker and their three children, traveling across Europe while mostly based in London.

“Chris and I and the kids are heading on a family adventure together,” he said at the time.

‘We’ve wanted to do it for a long time but for many reasons, the timing wasn’t right, but we thought it would never be the right time to go.’

‘Iit’s something we really wanted to do before my son started his final years at school, so we’re in sophomore year in England. So I will be on leave for a few months,” he added.

Turns out, coming back in ‘a few months’ is exactly what Bickmore did.

But during his sabbatical, some viewers feared he would never return to his current Channel 10 show, pointing to various ‘clues’ suggesting he was planning a more permanent move.

For example, Bickmore said she was inspired by fellow Project panelist Kate Langbroek, 56, who spent two years living in Bologna, Italy, with her family.

Furthermore, Bickmore had sold his family’s five bedroom Melbourne home just days before announcing his sabbatical.

Some fans speculate this is because he and his family are hoping to buy a place to live in the UK.

But neither of these theories came to fruition, as Bickmore returned to The Project on July 11, just three months after flying overseas.
