The 31-year-old, who played the last of his six Tests in 2019, will return to Australian rugby from a second stint in France to effectively replace England-bound Lukhan Salakaia-Loto. Jones played 89 Super Rugby matches between 2010-20 for the Western Force and Melbourne Rebels and has just started a stint with Kurtley Beale at Racing 92 in the French Top 14. Offering experience playing against current Reds coach and former All Blacks key Brad Thorn, Jones’ pedigree is welcome given the defeats of Salakaia-Loto and prostitute Alex Mafi (Melbourne Rebels) in the off-season. “It’s great to bring home another Wallaby at the Reds,” said Reds football boss Sam Cordingley of the Sydney product. “Luke is a great addition to our squad. All Blacks coach Ian Foster brings on David Havili for the draw against Ireland

Rugby league rugby player Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is set to earn his first All Blacks cap after being named in the reserves. David Havili, Will Jordan, Sam Whitelock and Nepo Laulala, who did not play in the second test, entered the run-on team. There were no specialist locks on the bench with Scott Barrett, who returned to the left flank to allow Whitelock to start, providing cover. Dane Coles and Akira Ioane were added to the bench after being ignored for the first two tests. Coach Ian Foster reacted to the All Blacks’ first loss to Ireland in New Zealand by bringing in some new faces and making six position changes to his side for the tie in Wellington on Saturday night. Four newcomers have been added to the team that will start at Sky Stadium, with David Havili one of the most notable additions in fifth-eighth. He replaced Quinn Tupaea. Dalton Papalii appointed on the blindside flanker as All Blacks reshuffle package for Ireland test

Scott Barrett has switched to locks after a concussion ruled Sam Whitelock out of the second test against Ireland in Dunedin on Saturday night. All Blacks coach Ian Foster, who revealed his team on Thursday, has been forced to toy with his attacking squad as 133 testing veteran Whitelock has kept him out of action due to symptoms of a pending concussion. Patrick Smith/Getty Images Dalton Papalii, pictured in action against the United States last year, has been named to start on the flanks for the All Blacks against Ireland in Dunedin on Saturday night. Another key, Tupou Vaa’i, was also not considered for selection after contracting Covid-19. The absences of Whitelock and Vaa’i have resulted in Patrick Tuipulotu and Josh Dickson joining the squad earlier this week. Tuipulotu, who was originally ineligible for the Irish series due to missing Super Rugby Pacific to play in Japan, has been added to the bench. The NZ Rugby Board approved a dispensation to allow him to join
