BMW heated seats cost $26 per month with a subscription

You can pay for most things with a subscription today, from streaming music and movies to recipe boxes and beer delivery. And now drivers can take advantage of a paid monthly plan for special features in BMW cars, such as heated front seats for $26 in Australia. It’s part of the German brand’s connected drive package, which starting this week has added a number of new features, including a monthly subscription to have a heated steering wheel and a headlight system that won’t dazzle oncoming traffic. The controversial move means drivers pay an annual or monthly fee for automakers to temporarily remove software that prevents them from using systems already installed in vehicles.
