Carl Hayman: Huge pressure on Ian Foster, results got him in trouble

Hagen Hopkins/Getty Images All Blacks coach Ian Foster has come under pressure after a series of poor test results. Former All Blacks prop Carl Hayman believes there is “huge pressure” on coach Ian Foster in South Africa although feels replacing him with Scott Robertson is “subtle”. The All Blacks faced the Springboks twice over the next two weekends following a historic draw lost to Ireland in New Zealand. The All Blacks’ decline continues to make headlines around the world, especially in France which is hosting next year’s World Cup and where Hayman remains a revered figure after his glorious days with Toulon. “There is huge pressure on Foster and the result puts him in trouble,” Hayman, who played 45 tests for New Zealand told French newspaper Midi Olympique. The wealth boom is closing the huge gap between rich and poor

You may remember that at first it seemed that COVID-19 was going to cause massive wealth destruction. The stock market fell and some warned of a potential fall in house prices by a third. Average household wealth did fall 3 percent in the March 2020 quarter when COVID-19 first hit, but this was only a decline, and asset prices quickly rebounded as the central bank cut interest rates to near zero and the government pumped in massive amounts of stimulus. . In general, the fact remains that wealth is still very unequal in the country, despite a slight decline in wealth inequality during the pandemic years. The report shows that despite a stagnation in early 2020, median household wealth then jumped 12 percent through December 2020, and 26 percent through December 2021. There’s no prize for guessing the biggest cause of this spike: housing, which drove 69 percent of the overall increase in wealth over the past three years. Most came from owner-occupied housing, which accounted for 55 per

Huge Black Hole Existed Before Universe's First Star (Weekend Feature)

Image
The discovery of black holes was the first collision of quantum gravity with general relativity. In 2019, astrophysicists at the University of Western Ontario discovered proof for the direct formation of black holes that need not arise from stellar remnants. The production of black holes in the early universe, which formed from massive seeds aided by the gravitational field immediately after the Big Bang, provided scientists with an explanation for what appeared to be extremely massive black hole anomalies at a very early stage in the history of our universe. Supermassive black holes formed very, very quickly in the early universe over a very, very short period of time and then suddenly, they stopped. Shantanu Basu and Arpan Das from the Western Department of Physics & Astronomy developed an explanation for the observed distribution of mass and luminosity of supermassive black holes, for which there was no scientific explanation before. They concluded that su
