Traders, investment bankers, law and mining graduates demand six-figure salaries after university

Graduates demand salaries of up to $350,000 as companies struggle to find the best and brightest workers just weeks after they leave university. Those who finish university as medical practitioners, dentists, software engineers, and stock traders can earn very high six-figure salaries, and can also expect lots of bonuses and extra perks. Australia faces dire skills shortages and a tough labor market as two years of drunkenness from our strict border closures saw many backpackers leave the country and migrants slowly returned. The large number of jobs on the market – with fewer people to fill them – means the balance of power falls in the hands of job seekers. It comes amid growing tensions within the legal fraternity over the balance between social responsibility and commercial imperatives. The decision to cut ties with the church also raises questions about the future of prominent partner Richard Leder, who served articles at the firm in 1988, and has worked on behalf of the Catholic Church for 30 years. The Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne declined to confirm whether they would remain with Leder or seek legal representation elsewhere. “Richard Leder is still a partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and we have great respect for him and his team. AI Just Found Alternative Physics Independently

Pick up any physics textbook and you’ll find formula after formula that explains how things sway, fly, turn, and stop. The formula describes actions that we can observe, but behind each can be a series of factors that are not immediately apparent. Now, a new AI program developed by researchers at Columbia University appears to have found its own alternative physics. After being shown videos of physical phenomena on Earth, AI did not rediscover the current variables we used; instead, it actually comes up with a new variable to explain what it sees. To be clear, this does not mean that our current physics is flawed or that there is a more suitable model to explain the world around us. (Einstein’s laws have proven to be very powerful.) But they can only exist because they are built on a pre-existing ‘language’ of theories and principles established by centuries of tradition. Given an alternate timeline where other minds tackle the same problem from a slightly different perspective, wou
