Teen thrills and Olympic superstars set to lead a golden attack on Birmingham

This time last year, most Australians stayed at home, perhaps taking solace in the performance of the Australian swimming team, which took home multiple gold medals from the Tokyo Olympics. This year, we can expect more as the Dolphins face the best swimmer at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The team had successfully won the world championship in Budapest in June and stayed together for training camp in France before starting their assault on the Birmingham pool. Once again, the team will be led by a group of extraordinary women who have taken the world by storm: Emma McKeon, Ariarne Titmus and Kaylee McKeown will be joined by Australia’s newest teen swimming superstar, Mollie O’Callaghan. Australian women have posted the fastest Commonwealth times this year in 12 of the 16 races at the Birmingham programme, and that doesn’t take into account McKeon, who has taken a lot of time off this year but will return for the Olympics. Even so, head coach Rohan Taylor is reluctant to make p

The original Porky strip club on Darlinghurst Road turned off its famous neon lights five years ago after 30 years. Longueville Road is a no-go zone and even Sydney buses are diverted

The clinic keeps the heart beating - Golden Plains Times

HEART FAILURE is one of the top conditions that result in the most visits to the emergency department, including at Ballarat Health Services. BHS cardiac nurse practitioner Linda Macaulay said it was a “huge burden” in more ways than one. “Besides the burden of disease and people’s lack of quality of life, heart failure is also a huge burden on our health system,” he said. Aiming to reduce the readmission rate of heart failure patients in hospital, with evidence-based care, personalized care, and targeted treatment, BHS has its own heart failure clinic. “Re-admission rates are enormous, and not only for patients who are re-admitted with heart failure, but with various co-morbidities that impair the heart, such as diabetes, cognitive impairment, or respiratory disease,” Macaulay said. “Our clinic is running to provide consistent care for every patient at all times, because our patients we see are our friends, family members, relatives, work and schoolmates. “We care for people in our co
