Beginning of Race 22 of the Supercars Championship at The Bend After the big shunt at The Bend, we asked if you think the Supercar should use a rolling start, in this week’s Pirtek Polling. Thomas Randle and Andre Heimgartner were taken to hospital for scans, while there are question marks as to whether their car will race again, after their collision at the start of Race 22. Randle came to a halt on the outside of the front row and his Ford Mustang was nailed by Heimmartner, who had gathered plenty of power as he qualified five rows further back, in 38 minutes. g impact. Other drivers, including championship leader Shane van Gisbergen, have given conflicting opinions on how well the Supercars car warning system handled the situation. However, another issue now raised by fans commenting on the report is that the roll is starting. Cameron Waters Cameron Waters of Tickford Racing has taken temporary pole position for Race 19 of the Repco Supercars Championship at the NTI Townsville 500. Waters set a last-minute 1:13.0869s in the #6 Monster Energy Mustang to beat Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen to top spot with 0.1224s, although the championship leader had put his cue on the shelf before the final lap. The two Triple Eight Race Engineering cars, both the Shell V-Power Racing Team car, Chaz Mostert from Walkinshaw Andretti United, and the fast man from Brad Jones Racing, Andre Heimgartner, among others, were included in this afternoon’s Top 10 Shootout. Broc Feeney (#88 ZB Commodore) was quickest at first but Will Davison (#17 Mustang) of Shell V-Power held on after having mostly set a representative lap of 1:13.3466s, compared to 1:13.5325s for Red Bull Ampol tyro. Van Gisbergen waited longer than most to venture out for his opening run and leapt to the top on his second original flyer when he clocked

In a rather clever opening session at the Reid Park Road Circuit, the Red Bull Ampol Racing championship-leading 1:13.6883s in the second lap proved the fastest time of the session. Kick start was delayed for 20 minutes to fix a loose road plate, before a court containing 25 cars was freed for half an hour of practice. David Reynolds (#26 Penrite Mustang) was quickest after the first pamphlet at 1:14,1926, before van Gisbergen (#97 ZB Commodore) moved to first place on the next occasion. With the hard tire compound returning after a series of super or super soft events this year, and the soft event in Townsville, there were many set-up changes made during the session. However, the screen time barely changes after the first round is over. Andre Heimgartner jumped from 10th to second fastest with seconds remaining before the
