Sunrise host swipes Kardashians for making billions from 'nothing'

The Sunrise hosts didn’t hold back on Thursday when they blasted the Kardashians during a breakfast show.

Natalie Barr, Monique Wright, Mark Beretta and Michael Usher claim the famous family has made billions of dollars from ‘nothing’.

Barr, 54, said he was surprised that Kim Kardashian’s successful Skims clothing line was now available at upscale Australian department store David Jones.

“It’s amazing they’ve made billions of dollars,” Natalie began.

‘And they created it out of nothing didn’t they?’ Mark interrupted.

“Well, something,” Natalie joked, apparently referring to Kim’s sex tape with Ray J that leaked and catapulted her to fame.

His younger sister, Kylie Jenner, 24, was previously declared a billionaire by Forbes thanks to the Kylie cosmetics line, but later claimed her personal fortune was $900 million.

Kim and her famous siblings including Khloe, Kourtney and Kendall, have all found success through their reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which recently left their home on channel E! to move to streaming service Hulu as The Kardashians.

Earlier this month, Kim ignited a firestorm on social media simply by having Skims stocked on Australian retail giant David Jones.

After the Australian department store shared a promo for the line on their official Instagram account, disgruntled shoppers flooded the comments section and vowed not to support the popular Kim-shaped clothing brand.

“Hard to buy anything that is endorsed or made by any Kardashian,” one netizen growled.

‘No thanks, surprised David Jones is using the product,’ wrote another, while many others called the move ‘disappointing’.

Many comments have complained about the promo video for the brand, which shows Kim wearing a busty bra and matching pants.

Despite the reaction, some Kardashian fans are dismissive of the negativity.

‘Why is there so much negative nancy in this comment? It’s great that the DJ provides a brand new and different one,’ wrote one.

‘It’s amazing that the range comes in so many colors, sizes and styles! We haven’t been lucky enough to have such a wide variety of shapewear in Australia before! A good DJ to cater to the modern ‘every woman,’ they added.
