Project: Carrie Bickmore looks different in promo photo that resurfaces

Carrie Bickmore has hosted The Project since its debut in 2009.

And he marked the show’s 13th anniversary on Wednesday by sharing a rare throwback photo of himself with original panelists Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes and Charlie Pickering.

The 41-year-old looks completely different in old promo photos with seductive hair and classic 2000s outfits.

Carrie landed a gig on The Project in 2009 after a three-year stint on Rove Live.

In her throwback shots from the early days of the Channel 10 show, she wears jeans with a black shoulder-cut blouse.

Commenting on her low jeans, she added: ‘I forgot they made the zipper that small.’

His followers also couldn’t help but notice the daggy suits Hughesy and Charlie were wearing.

Fellow TV presenter Grant Denyer commented: ‘I think the boys borrowed their suits from their dads for this shoot.’

Carrie previously admitted she took a more casual approach to fashion in early episodes of the show - even wearing a leather jacket on one occasion.

Of course, she’s better known today for her impeccable sense of style, and there’s even an Instagram account dedicated to her evening wear.

Meanwhile, old footage from The Project reveals Carrie isn’t afraid to experiment with fashion, swapping between casual looks, designer dresses and corporate style.

A look back through the Channel 10 archives reveals Carrie began embracing a more stylish approach following the rebranding of The 7PM Project in 2011.

She’s also changed her hairstyle a lot over the years, from toying with long blonde extensions to having short blonde locks, and even becoming a brunette.

The mother-of-three recently debuted a new look while living in London, flaunting a deep tan as she enjoys a summer in England.

She has revealed her plans to move overseas with her partner Chris Walker and their children in March.

‘In April I will be taking a few months off from the Project desk. Chris and I and the kids are heading on a family adventure together,” he said at the time.

“We’ve wanted to do it for a long time but for many reasons the timing wasn’t right, but we thought it would never be the right time to do it.

‘This is something we really wanted to do before my son started his final years at school, so we had a second semester in England. So I’ll be gone for a few months.’

He returned to The Project last week, after a three-month stint overseas.

Carrie said she was inspired by fellow Project panelist Kate Langbroek, 56, who spent two years living in Bologna, Italy, with her family.
