Potential home buyers of The Block are given a peek with one of the 'HELICOPTERING at clients' agents

Block 2022 contestants put down their tools at 9 a.m. on the Sunday leading up to the event’s premiere and auction date.

And according to the Sunday Herald Sun, potential buyers including series regular Danny Wallis have glimpsed the property over the past week.

The publication understands one agent even ‘flyed a prospective client’s helicopter for a preliminary inspection’ of a home, while mega-buyer Danny drove from Melbourne to Gisborne South in Victoria state to browse properties.

Danny, a Melbourne-based IT entrepreneur with a reported net worth of $120 million, bought not one but three homes on The Block last year for a total of $12.2 million.

The eccentric fortune kept his winnings, having bought three homes at auction in 2020 for nearly $12 million.

Danny also bought Mitch and Mark’s house in season 15 in 2019 for $3.374 million, and one of the properties in season 2012 for $1.4 million.

The inspection came after host Scott Cam made headlines when he called Elle Ferguson and fiancé Joel Patfull ‘unAustralian’ at the Logie Awards for quitting the show after just 48 hours.

Scott, 59, made his controversial comments during a media event in Victoria late last month, revealing how he was just ‘me being me’.

‘Obviously I wish Joel and Elle success in the future. It’s just that they created a bit of a mess for us here in the first 48 hours,” he said.

Scott goes on to reveal the chaos that ensued behind the scenes following their sudden departure.

‘The show… we spent a lot of time and money starting our show and then we had to rearrange everything… the whole promo had to be re-recorded.

‘We were so anxious when they parted like they did.’

Scott said the ‘good news’ is that they ‘have another pair to come along and they are great’.

At the Logie Awards on June 19, Scott denounced the couple’s decision to leave the show due to a family emergency as ‘unAustralian’ and ‘p**s poor’.

Elle, 36, and Joel, 37, dropped the contraption in April – just 48 hours into production – after her mother suffered a severe fall at her Adelaide home.

Scott told TV Tonight on the Logies red carpet: ‘We had a 48 hour challenge to pick the houses you got and they disappeared after 48 hours.

‘This is something that has never happened before.

‘Forty-five thousand people signed up to join The Block and win life-changing money. These guys are up and they can’t handle the speed after 48 hours.

‘Which to me is a bit unAustralian! Try! This is so bad.’

The couple made the tough decision to leave the renovation show Channel Nine in April after Joel’s mother, Trish, broke her neck in a fall at her Adelaide home.

The former AFL star’s mother reportedly broke her tailbone and fractured her wrist.

Upon exiting, Elle shared a photo of the couple’s suitcase on Instagram at Melbourne Airport, captioning it: ‘Wherever you are in the world, whatever you do, family always comes first.’

A spokesperson for Nine confirmed their departure to Daily Mail Australia, saying: ‘Over the weekend, we were surprised to have one of our new team of contestants leave The Block a few days into filming for the upcoming season.

‘We wish them all the best for the future and we are excited to select two new Australians for the opportunity of a lifetime at The Block. Block Tree Change will air as scheduled later this year.’

After they left, Elle shared this photo on Instagram of their luggage at Melbourne Airport, and wrote: 'Wherever you are in the world, whatever you do, family always comes first'
