It came as Nicole recently revealed how her early days in Hollywood were made possible thanks to some of her Australian friends.

The Academy Award-winning actress told the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia in a taped interview that she was supported by her best friends, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, even sleeping on their couch while auditioning for roles in Los Angeles.

‘[Deborra-Lee] is one of my best friends,” said the Dead Calm star, adding that her fellow actresses always gave her a place to stay when she flew in from Australia.

‘[I slept on the couch] at the house Deborra-Lee rented, and she gave us the opportunity to live there and we could go and audition,’ Nicole said.
