“I spent the weekend suffering more than I wish anyone had to endure,” the mother-of-two said Wednesday.

“My bones hurt, my skin hurt, it was hard to walk, it was hard to see, it was hard to eat.

“I couldn’t open my eyes, but I couldn’t sleep either. It was nothing more than a living hell with no way out.

“And then I woke up on Monday feeling so much better that I almost cried.

“I came out of the woods, turned the corner, was on the other side of the mountain – and every other euphemism you can find to do.”

The celebrity home organizer shared a photo of her, taken by her mother, receiving her fourth round of chemotherapy last week.

“It struck me that I never noticed my nurses were wearing a full hazmat suit when they administered my toxic treatment,” Shearer said.

“I’ve obviously been there every time, but never drowned.

“When [mum] sent me this picture, my reaction to the drugs finally made sense. I want my own hazmat suit… I don’t want this on my body. There must be another way.

“There isn’t any. There isn’t any.”

‘Couldn’t be happier’

After her shock cancer diagnosis four months ago, Shearer underwent a double mastectomy, subsequent surgeries and “had the harshest chemotherapy”.

He said he still had four months of treatment left – including 12 weeks of chemo and five weeks of radiation.

“But things get easier from here and I couldn’t be happier,” he said.

After her first three rounds of chemo, Shearer said she had “a few days of pain” before she “started to feel like myself”.

But after his final lap, he “never really got there”.

Feels impossible

“Every day I am stuck between tired and tense – I feel too tired to do anything, but too restless to relax,” she explains.

Shearer ended his post by thanking his fans for their incredible support.

“I say it all the time, but thank you for being with me on this journey,” he said.

“Some days when it seems impossible, that’s what got me through it.”

Shearer and business partner Joanna Teplin founded their hugely popular organizing business, The Home Edit, in 2015.

Organized with The Home Edita celebrity home organization show, debuted on Netflix in 2020, and features stars including Drew Barrymore, Khloe Kardashian, and Chris Pratt.
