Neighboring star Jemma Donovan responds to Harlow Robinson's exit

Neighbor star Jemma Donovan has spoken about her exit from soap and bidding farewell to Harlow Robinson’s character.
British viewers saw Harlow leave Ramsay Street last month after a dramatic storyline involving planner Corey Smythe-Jones.
After Corey’s arrest, Harlow was able to get the answers he was looking for, thus closing a troubling chapter in his life.

He then decided to accept his aunt’s offer to live with him in London for good.
Talking on official soap Twitter account after he left, Jemma says he and Harlow have ‘grown massively’ since he made it Neighbor debut in 2019.
“I think it’s easy to grow with your character in an environment like this, simply because you’re doing it in parallel with each other,” said Jemma.
“Me personally, I feel like I’ve just grown up as an actor. The great thing about a soap opera is that you get to get into so many different storylines that you would never have in a series or film.

“So I feel like I’ve grown in confidence because I’ve been put into so many different scenarios. Harlow, I just remember when he first rocked at Erinsborough and I think he’s grown up beautifully too.”
“He knows what he wants and he’s not afraid to stand up for what he wants, even more so than he did when he first came on the show.”
Jemma thanks soap fans, ahead of its final episode airing later this month.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who watches every day,” said Jemma. “This show has been an amazing platform for me and for everyone and it’s an honor to be a part of it. I’m going to get emotional. It’s been the most amazing experience because not only for me acting but also as a person.
“And just being able to introduce Harlow to your screen and for you guys to love and support him as much as I did and I will miss playing him so much. So thank you.”
Neighbor aired its last episode on Friday, July 29 in the UK and it will feature Jemma’s real-life dad Jason Donovan returning to Ramsay Street as Scott Robinson alongside Kylie Minogue as Charlene Mitchell.
Neighbor airs weekdays at 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Monday through Thursday 6:30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.
