Jodi Gordon's Redemption: How Home and Away stars stay sober and single

Jodi Gordon has cast out her demons as she embarks on a new chapter of health and sobriety.

Home and Away Star, 37, spent 30 days in rehab for alcoholism earlier this year, and is now on the road to redemption after embracing a healthier lifestyle, banning alcohol and remaining single.

‘Life isn’t always perfect, you have ups and downs’, Jodi exclusively told Daily Mail Australia at the launch of Life Botanics’ new vitamin range in Sydney on Tuesday.

‘I’ve made some big changes this year. So this is a journey of taking my life to a place where I’m making a change, really taking the time to invest in myself.”

Jodi, who is a celebrity ambassador for Life Botanics, said she has made positive changes in recent months, including following an exercise regimen, practicing meditation and maintaining her nutrition.

‘I made a change where I wanted to create a good life for me. Take care of myself, my health. Just wake up in the morning and see what I really need and what will benefit me to get through the day,’ he explained.

However, the most relevant change is his newfound composure.

‘Stop alcohol. I don’t drink,’ said Jodi, who previously referred to liquor as ‘the poison’.

Earlier this year, Jodi underwent ‘immersion therapy’ at an alcohol rehab clinic called The Sydney Retreat in Stanmore, where clients were offered a ’30 day recovery program’ for $8,800.

Jodi, who is a celebrity ambassador for Life Botanics, says she has made positive changes in recent months, including following an exercise regimen, practicing meditation and maintaining her nutrition.

She checks herself in after her acrimonious split from investment banker Sebastian Blackler.

The former are currently subject to an AVO court order barring them from contacting each other until April 2024.

Jodi has endured a string of doomed romances over the years, including with Channel Seven heir Ryan Stokes, businessman Aidan Walsh and a lawyer known only as Cedric.

When asked about her love life, Jodi told Daily Mail Australia that she is now single and hopes to stay that way for a while.

He also dated controversial real estate agent Warren Ginsberg in 2016, years before he was convicted after pleading guilty to drug possession last year.

When asked about her love life, Jodi told Daily Mail Australia that she is now single and hopes to stay that way for now.

‘Nothing happens [in my love life],’ he said, adding: ‘I talk about health and well-being and things like that, and part of that is taking care of myself. Making changes for me means taking care of me and not getting other people involved in it. So definitely, no time for that.’

Jodi continued: ‘Giving back on myself and making sure I’m in a good place. Nobody invites other people into my life until I’m in the right space.’

The soap opera star has rarely been out of the headlines over the years – partly because of her modeling and acting career, but also because of her off-screen scandals.

‘Life Botanics is very supportive. Jimmy and I had a chat the other day and he said to me “We believe in you. We believe in you from the first day we met. We absolutely love who you are,” said the Celebrity Apprentice Australia star.

‘That means a lot to me, and that’s what a partnership should be – you support each other. And I think loyalty represents something today. And there’s trust there in that relationship too.”

Jodi partnered with Life Botanics earlier this year, and swears by the brand’s hyaluronic acid capsules and marine collagen powder to hydrate skin and promote hair and nail growth.

Jodi, best known for playing Elly Conway in Neighbors between 2016 and 2020, was previously married to rugby league footballer Braith Anasta, 40, between 2012 and 2015.
