How you can drink with Premier League stars in Perth

The football frenzy that will hit Western Australia at this weekend’s ICON: Perth International Football Festival has fans eagerly counting down the showtimes.

But before sporting action kicks off on Friday night, enthusiastic supporters can meet the Premier League stars while they’re in town.

Events are scheduled at different bars around town for all four teams; Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Crystal Palace

Hotel Leederville will be awash in blue and red as it turns into home to the Eagles, hosting Crystal Palace’s only official fan event before Friday night’s big game against Leeds United.

Leeds United

Fremantle’s Gage Roads Brewery will be the place where Leeds United supporters step on this weekend.

Fans will also get the chance to get a close look at the West Yorkshire-based team on Wednesday 20 July as they take on the historic Fremantle Oval for an open training session at 3:30pm.

“We are excited to be part of the celebrations throughout the Perth International Football Festival. Gage Roads Freo is home to Leeds United and its fans in the coming days, with the official fan party starting on Thursday,” said Lee Behan, Head of Hospitality at Gage Roads Brew Co.

“First-team squad players will be here to meet the fans, while our build team has played the Gage classic to mark the occasion. Look forward to “Sleepless Giant Nitro IPA” on tap – a modern version of our British-style classic IPA that delivers on caramel, toffee and fruity vibes.

“Friday’s pre-match party will be epic, with Leeds legends Tony Dorigo and Michael Bridges to celebrate. The first 150 fans to arrive will receive a ticket to the ferry to the stadium for the match.”

Northbridge will be home to Red Devils fans with Picabar, located near the Art Gallery of Western Australia, set to be the meeting place for Manchester United fans ahead of their game against Aston Villa on Saturday 23 July.

On Thursday, July 21, the famous team will train in a sold-out open session at East Perth’s WACA Ground, before the next day’s Meet the Legends event.

The West Australian presented an Aston Villa Night at Optus Stadium on Thursday 21 July, where supporters will hear from Aston Villa CEO Christian Purslow and Manager Steven Gerrard when they come to Perth for ICON.

The Raffles Hotel, located in Applecross, will be home to fans of the Birmingham-based football club.
