When the Duchess of Cambridge turned to kiss her mother, Carole Middleton, at Wimbledon last week, it summed up how much fun their relationship was.

Seeing their matching smiles light up on the Royal Box also underscores how very similar the two are in style and appearance.

With their long shiny chestnut hair, straight and tucked behind the ears, with the earrings peeking down, the couple clearly channeled the same look.

But where once Kate might be copying her mother’s impeccable style, it seems that at 67, Carole is picking up a page from her eldest child’s fashion book.

From her freshly straightened hair—obviously impressed with the care Kate is getting for her Caribbean tour—to the jewelry and matching gowns, Carole doesn’t overdo ‘Kate-over’.
