Home and Away star Sam Frost confirms that he is engaged to Jordie Hansen after just SIX months of dating

Sam Frost is engaged to his new girlfriend, Survivor star Jordie Hansen, after just five months of dating.

The Home and Away actress, 33, confirmed the happy news on her new podcast on Thursday.

Jordie proposed to the Bachelorette beauty during a road trip from the Northern Territory to South Australia in May.

At the start of his podcast, Sam tells his listeners: ‘This is a very important time in our lives, we just got engaged and to celebrate we thought, let’s go, let’s go on a 14 day trip.’

Jordie, 26, went on to describe his romantic proposal: ‘We were in Uluru and we just had breakfast and are heading back south.

‘Sambo just delivered his coffee so I said, “Hey, when are you going to say yes to marriage?”

Sam chimed in: ‘I said, ‘Almost any time from now.”

Jordie continued: ‘So I take it as, ‘I’ll do it this afternoon.’

The star of The Australian Survivor: Blood V Water explained how she tried to rush to her fiancé-to-be so they could get to Coober Pedy before sunset for the big moment.

‘[We got there and] I set the camera in what I thought would be the perfect position, and Sambo came over and said, “I know exactly what you’re going to do here.”‘

Sam said he ‘didn’t know’ what was going to happen until he saw Jordie set up a camera in the back of the car with ‘tears in his eyes’.

‘That’s beautiful. He was really shaking and couldn’t sit up,’ he recalls.

“I don’t remember much because I was so nervous. I tried not to cry and just tried to talk. I remember saying something like, ‘Honey, we love jokes but this isn’t one of them. It’s very serious,” Jordie added.

Sam sparked engagement rumors last month when a photo of him with the ring on his wedding finger at a hen party went viral on social media.

The good news comes after Sam moved back to Melbourne to live with Jordie last month.

“We’ve taken the next step and it’s great,” he told the Herald Sun at the time.

‘I feel very happy. Being able to travel again is a wonderful thing.’

Sam says he is ‘happy’ to be back in his hometown, and hopes to land ‘acting again’ roles.

He added that his relationship with the Australian Survivor star, 26, was ‘going well’.

The former Bachelorette met Jordie through her sister, Alex Frost, who also starred in Survivor Australia.

She started their relationship on Instagram in April when the couple took a trip to the coast of New South Wales.

Later that month, the former radio host was forced to deny rumors that the couple had split.

Via Instagram, she shared a message she received from a friend who wrote: ‘Yo yo yo – how are you my love? Is everything okay? Saw on my news app that you and Jord broke up so just wanted to check in and see if it was just a lie? xx.’

Sam replied with a photo of himself and Jordie lying together in bed.

The actress rose to prominence on the dating show The Bachelor in 2014 – Blake Garvey’s season picked her the winner, only for him to dump her for Louise Pillidge.

She went on to become a Bachelorette the following year, choosing Sasha Mielczarek as her winning suitor. They dated for 18 months before calling it quits.

The reality show star is no stranger to jumping into relationships after Jay Bruno ‘couldn’t see the future’ with her broke up last November after several months of dating.

His last relationship before Jay was with navy diver Dave Bashford which ended after three years with Sam saying he prioritized his career over romance.

Fake news! It happened after Sam closed the rumors he was going to separate from Jordie. Sources said on April 22 they called it quits after a whirlwind romance, but Sam dumped the gossip a day later when he posted this lovey-dovey photo on Instagram of the couple in bed.
