Elon Musk's dad says he's not proud of Tesla founder and explains kids with stepdaughter

Elon Musk’s dad has admitted he isn’t proud of his billionaire son and explained why he married and had a baby with his stepdaughter in a candid radio interview.

Errol Musk, 76, was called to Kyle and Jackie O’s show Monday morning for a bizarre 20-minute interview in which he joked that he could be Kyle’s real father.

The Tesla CEO’s father said Elon had ‘overstepped the mark’ of what he considered successful but said the Musk family had ‘done a lot for a long time’.

‘Your descendant is a genius. He’s worth so much money and has created so many things, you can’t take that away from him. Are you proud?’ Jackie O asked.

‘Not. You know, we’re a family that’s been doing a lot for a long time, it’s not as if we suddenly started doing something,’ Errol replied.

Errol says his billionaire son is not as happy as he can be when it comes to his success and says he feels as though he is five years behind schedule.

“He’s frustrated with the progress and that’s understandable,” the 76-year-old said.

‘I know it sounds crazy, but we tend to think of it that way as a family. He is 50 years old now and I still think of him as a child. But he’s 50, I mean he’s old.’

Referring to recent photos of his shirtless son on a boat in Greece, he said he had encouraged his son to eat better and take supplements.

‘Elon is very strong but he eats badly,’ he told the hosts.

Cruel aside, Errol said he had recommended garcinia cambogia — a supplement that is said to help with weight loss without exercise or additional dieting — to his son.

Errol later revealed that he had never received help from his billionaire son (pictured in May) and that it was his younger brother Kimbal who was his ‘pride and joy’.

Jackie O asked the South African engineer if he drove a Tesla and he replied that he instead drove a Bentley, Rolls Royce and Mercedes – similar to Kyle’s car collection.

Errol said he had never received a gift from his billionaire son and that Elon’s younger brother Kimbal was his ‘pride and joy’.

‘We are a very frugal and stingy family. If I want to buy anything, I have to answer 100 questions why,” he explained.

‘Elon lives a very frugal life. He’s at work at six o’clock.’

Errol said he was worried that Elon, who is currently single, would never find a woman who would give up his career to be a part of his life, as Kimbal’s wife did.

Errol was then asked about the relationship he has with his 34-year-old stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout – whom he is married to with whom he has two young children.

He said he was married to the 34-year-old mother for two years in the 1990s and that he did not see or speak to Bezuidenhout after the divorce until 2014.

She said that when she reached out to him during a difficult time, their friendship turned into romance.

When Kyle says he thinks Jana is his real daughter, Errol interrupts.

‘No no it’s totally normal,’ he said, to which Kyle agreed, despite the 42 year age difference.

Kyle then curiously asks what Elon’s penis looks like and whether it’s circumcised, blaming personal questions on the curious ‘failed to vote’ Australian woman.

“I’ll get him to send a photo,” joked Errol.

Kyle ended the interview by asking the father of seven if he could be his father.

‘Maybe I. Has your mother been to South Africa?’ Errol responded with Kyle shouting ‘daddy’ to patriarch Musk.

Last month, the 76-year-old revealed he had a daughter with Bezuidenhout in 2019, a year after they had their first child, Elliot Rush, now five.

He told The Sun that he wanted to have the kids live with him, but the last time they visited ‘the kids are starting to make me nervous.’

She refuses to rule out having more children, however, saying: ‘Our only purpose on Earth is to reproduce.’

Errol told the publication that his CEO’s son shared his opinion with his three sisters, who feared the relationship he had with their half-brother.

‘They still don’t like it. They still felt a little creepy about it, because she was their sister. Their half-brother,’ said Errol.

Meanwhile, it emerged that Elon had welcomed twins last November with a senior executive at one of his companies, 36-year-old Shivon Zilis.

The twins arrived just weeks before Musk had a second child via a surrogate with his inactive girlfriend, Canadian pop star Claire Boucher, who goes by the alias Grimes.

The father of ten also has five children with his first wife, Canadian writer Justine Musk.

A sixth child, their first child, died of sudden infant death syndrome when they were just ten weeks old in 2002, prompting them to use in vitro fertilization.

Then Justine gave birth to twins – Vivian and Griffin – in 2004, followed by triplets – Kai, Saxon and Damian – in 2006.

Their oldest child, Vivian, 18, recently filed a legal request to change her first name to reflect that she is transgender and her last name to signify she does not wish to ‘associate with my biological father in any way, shape or form. ‘.
