Channel 5 boss confirms Home and Away fate
Following the cancellation NeighborChannel 5 boss Ben Frow has confirmed Home and Go not going anywhere.
It’s understandable that fans of the Australian soap have been worried about his future since the broadcaster confirmed that they are ending Ramsay Street.
However, when asked if Summer Bay was under threat, Frow said Radio Times Magazine: “No. But I think it will be interesting to see what we do with it as we evolve.
“There may be other places to put it in spectrum 5,” he added, before revealing why the show wasn’t cancelled.

“This is a lifetime deal, so it’s not going anywhere until the maker decides to cancel it.”
Elsewhere, Frow has opened up about the reasons for the cancellation Neighbor stating it was a “business decision” as the money would be “better spent” on English programming.
The channel controller went on to say that there was an option to continue the show for viewers in the UK before adding: “Or I could spend the money on other things, which I decided to do. I can better spend Neighbor money on the British show.”
Frow expressed his vision of the station when he took control that it would be a “British show for British audiences.”

It’s a vision that works well with events like Yorkshire Veterinarians became her first major hit, while another hugely popular Channel 5 show was a remake of the Yorkshire-based All Creatures Big and Small.

Channel 5 confirmed the double-bill finale will air on July 29 at 9 p.m. and will be followed by two specials, Neighbors: What Happened Next and Neighbors: Star’s Biggest Hit.
What happened next? will follow what the show’s biggest stars do after they leave, and The Stars’ Biggest Hits will plunge into the alumni music career.
Home and Go airs on weekdays at 13:15 on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. The first preview premiered at 6:30 p.m. on 5STAR and the show also aired on My5.
In Australia, the show airs Monday through Thursday at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7plus.
