Royals 'struggling' to remain friends with Prince William and Kate

Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly at odds with two other members of the royal family after the recent controversy.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew, are reportedly angry that their father is now excluded from official royal events.

Prince Andrew’s fall from grace began in 2020 when his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein came under the microscope.

After the kingdom gave a disastrous interview to the BBC denying that a teenage girl was “sex-trafficked” to him on three occasions, he was gradually removed from high-profile public duties.

Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate are understood to be the royals most opposed to any kind of reintegration of Prince Andrew back into public life.

That caused some outrage from Prince Andrew’s daughter, according to royal commentator Neil Sean.

“There’s a big story in the royal family that stays mostly under the radar, and it has to do with Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, and William’s father, Prince Charles,” Sean recently told The Express.

“According to excellent sources, Princess Eugenie and Beatrice seem to be struggling to stay on friendly terms with Prince William, Catherine and Charles.

“It stems from a deal that William, the Queen and Prince Charles put together to remove their father Prince Andrew from royal duties following his disgrace in recent years.”

Sean said the “thaw” between the two families in the last two years was difficult.

“Princes William and Charles are doing this in the interest of the monarchy,” he said.

“They read the public mood, which said that Andrew should retire permanently from public life.

“But Andrew wants to get the return he thinks his daughter can achieve by doing charity work.”

Sean said when Prince Charles ascended the throne, any kind of reinstatement of Prince Andrew would be highly unlikely.

Things could get even more complicated as Princess Beatrice and Eugenie remain on good terms with Prince Harry and Meghan, while relations between the latter two and William and Kate must have cooled off.

It is understood Prince Charles wanted a “simplified” monarchy that would not include official royal roles for Beatrice and Eugenie, much less their father.

It was recently revealed that Princess Beatrice attended her father’s “train crash” BBC interview in 2019.

The BBC’s producer who secured the interview, Sam McAlister, said he was surprised that Putri wanted to be there while her father was roasting.

“Imagine talking about the things we have to talk about in that little room, face to face with his father accused of that heinous act,” McAlister said.

“To be honest, the only thing worse than talking to a potential interviewee about allegations of sexual immorality and having sex with a 17-year-old girl is having to do it in front of her daughter,” she wrote in her book. Scoops: The BBC’s Most Shocking Behind-the-scenes Interviews.

“Princess Beatrice is polite and engaged, but, unlike her father, she is clearly anxious about the meeting and is clearly there to protect his interests.”
