MET features two new children’s helmets. The updated Crackerjack is designed to be a no-fuss and good-looking kid’s helmet. There’s a removable visor on the front, plenty of ventilation, and an anti-inset mesh.On the back are adjustable ratchet-mounted LEDs, plus plenty of coverage. MET also featured a younger Hooray MIPS children’s helmet. The helmet is available in two sizes: XS 46-52 cm and S 52-55cm. Hurray also gets LEDs on the back. But its main feature is the inclusion of the MIPS-C2 rotation management system. The Hooray MIPS is available in four colors and is priced at £65 / €75.Want to crank up the Ultegra price with a chainring the size of a Dura Ace? TA specialists will soon have a solution with this 54:39 12 speed chainring. No details on pricing or availability yet. Fizik showcases its new Stability Vento with Dynamic Arch Support 2.0. The Fizik Vento Stabilita is priced at £385 / US$410/€410 and is now available in EU36-48 sizes with half sizes from 37-47. The Dynamic Arch Support 2.0 system wraps the upper from the BOA cover to the outsole. New stability gets a BOA Li2 B dial. The shoe is available in Black/Yellow, White/Black, Silver/Black and Team Edition with a claimed weight of 227 grams per shoe size EU42.Not exactly new, but the Giarra Sportful Vest caught my eye with its two mesh chest pockets and a windproof shell. The bags are like short pebble bags for your chest. The Gilet features the same 3D polyester fabric and Thermore insulation as seen on the Sportful Bodyfit Pro jacket – one of my winter jackets of choice. This vest also has two standard pockets on the back. Endura is getting into the 3D printing game with the upcoming EGM Pro SL 3D Matrix bibs featuring 3D printed inserts due for release in the new year. More details to follow. For now we only have a brief overview of the product and a few prototype samples. This is not an actual insert – fortunately the proposed insert has more shape and appears thinner.Other bib shorts look just as impressive with a premium quality look and feel. WheelTop is bringing the latest prototype of the EDS OS Series Wireless MTB Drivetrain to Eurobike 2022, and it sounds fantastic. EDS was first seen in 2019.At just $365, the EDS is a wireless MTB shifter and shifter. While currently only available on this flat bar shifter, WheelTop suggested developing a drop bar version. The EDS clutch rear derailleur is compatible with anything up to a 52-tooth sprocket and looks and feels premium. WheelTop also offers cranks and cassettes to complement the drivetrain, but the brand clearly has no intention of developing a front derailleur. Beast Components and Riesel Designs share an outdoor booth and have partnered to offer Beast components customers a visual touch to any component. The RX60 wheels from the Beast have 60mm-deep rims, with 21mm internal rims priced at €2,399.90 with the DT Swiss 240. But perhaps more interestingly, the wheels can be ordered with the Riesel treatment as seen here. Pure 95 g Beast saddle can get the same treatment. Riesel offers a number of non-permanent protection packages with equally striking designs. DT Switzerland builds all their wheels and demonstrates the process on site. They had planned to make 10 pairs per day but people like me stopping for a chat meant they only had four complete pairs to show after the first day. Along with the Atmoz tire pressure management system, Scope also introduced the new AEA-Disc and R9.T time trial wheels. Scope looks at the wheels, tires, bike and rider as a whole system alongside years of WorldTour time trial data in developing these new time trial wheels to create a wheelset that claims to be the fastest in real world conditions.
The AEA Disc is priced at €2,198, weighs 1,196 g and is equipped with 28mm external rims with 21mm internal. The R9.T has a depth of 88 mm, an external width of 26 mm and an internal width of 19 mm rims. The R9.T weighs 887 g and is priced at €998.
Scope partnered with Schwalbe tires to determine the 25mm front tubeless tires paired with 28mm disc wheels at the rear were the best combination for both aerodynamics – more importantly up front – and rolling resistance.
After Scope determined what it believed to be the optimal tire width, it began to analyze the rim profile using the Enhanced Aerodynamics Algorithm – AEA in the name of the wheelset. The Scope algorithm is said to calculate the optimal rim profile for a given tire width and real-world conditions.
Older brother getting to the pointy end – with only five housemates left. And of the five, it was Johnson and Aleisha who dreamed of reaching the final together. When Aleisha’s name was announced, the desperate housemates left the living room, running outside to have some alone time. “Give him some time,” Johnson said to the other housemates before turning to Taras and asking him: “Are you trying to blackmail me?” Taras nominated Johnson for eviction. Credit: Seven Aleisha hugged Johnson. Credit: Seven “Yes,” Taras said matter-of-factly. “I wanted Johnson home today. If he persists, then my ability to break into the top three is much lower,” Taras said to ...
Success in badminton runs through the family of Rudy Jean Rigg. Rudy—who is transgender, non-binary and uses the pronouns they/he—is excellent even reaching state level. Rudy’s grandmother, Jean Tyrrel, is believed to have started Australia’s first badminton school. “It kind of started, like most things, rather informally,” they said. Their mother, Michelle Rigg, was a three-time junior national champion and later junior national coach. And their sister? Junior national doubles champion. While Melbourne-based Rudy used to play the sport, they don’t anymore. “No, I haven’t really played but I want to get back to playing,” they said. The reasons why are being explored in Rudy’s TikTok documentary series, Transathletica, which looks at the unique barriers transgender and gender-diverse people face to participate in sports. Journalist Narelda Jacobs said Sydney WorldPride 2023 would be a “tremendous opportunity”. ( Provided...
